Mark is a Member at HCH Legal and focuses his law practice on business aviation and aviation legal matters. Mark's practice includes both transactional support and regulatory counseling for aircraft owner-operators, charter operators, aircraft management companies and companies offering products and services in the aviation marketplace. 

For aircraft acquirers, in addition to preparing and negotiating transaction documents, Mark provides advice on aircraft ownership structures that comply with relevant Federal Aviation Administration and Department of Transportation regulations, and that achieve clients' state and federal tax objectives.

Mark brings a unique aerospace engineering perspective and practical experience to his practice, having an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota. He applied and developed that experience working as an engineer at The Boeing Company, where he was responsible for large project management activities, including major refurbishment projects and managing aircraft deliveries for Boeing's Program Management Office. After earning his law degree, Mark negotiated and administered a variety of corporate jet sales, leases, and acquisitions at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, Georgia. Mark was responsible for the contracting process in support of the pre-owned aircraft sales team, as well as several domestic and international new aircraft sales teams.
